Elements of the Weekly Student Report

The weekly report has been designed to give you insight into your child’s current progress, celebrate their achievements, and highlight areas for continued growth. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed and confident about your child’s learning path, while fostering a shared commitment to their success.

Below details the elements of the student report

Note: This sample student report is for illustrative purposes only to protect the privacy of our current students. Our prompt and personalised feedback allows all of our students achieve proficiency or higher within just one term.

Week and Subject: Indicates whether the student attended that week and specifies the class.

Class Summary: The main section of the report, summarising the topic covered in class and how your child performed.

Homework Completion: To maintain accountability, the tutor records the amount of homework completed by the student.
Level of Understanding: Describes the student’s overall progress, taking into account both homework and class performance.
Class Behaviour: Reflects the student’s concentration, effort, and engagement during class. All students are encouraged to strive for excellence in each of these areas.

Notes: Tutors provide detailed notes to communicate the student’s progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Parents to be Contacted and Student’s Tutors: This section ensures that both parents and administrative staff are aware of any actions required. Parents will be contacted if a student’s progress does not meet yours or Lunar Academy’s standards.

Summative Assessment

Our summative report provides a comprehensive overview of your child’s performance for the term, based on tests, class participation, and homework completion. It offers an accurate reflection of their current level, particularly under exam-style conditions and independent work.
